I came around to the back of the mansion, looking for my father. I found him by Rogue. I went over to him. "Hey, Dad," I said. My nose scrunched up. It smelled like cigar smoke over here. I didn't like. I was prepared for the punishment my father was to give me. I had been preparing for it the entier way home.

"Hi Chris. Do you know where Kurt is?" I asked her, looking at Logan, who looked like it was time for some yelling. I looked around and made sure there were no little kids around.

I got up when Crystal came over. "Sit," I said. "Now, about yer little stunt. I told ya not ta take my car again, but ya do it anyway." I ran my hand though my hair. "What am I gonna do with ya?" I wanted a smoke, but from the look on Crystal's face, she was already not liking the smell around here.

I got up and stood next to Logan, looking at Crystal, mouthing "bad mood" towards her dad. I turned to Logan and said "Logan, maybe if I spent some time with Crystal she'd feel more sociable. And I'm sure Kurt wants a break." I said, hoping I wasn't offending Chris. But the look on her face was probably just the smoky smell.

"Alright," I said after a while. "Yer still grounded though, Chris. Startin' tommorow." I got up and walked away, lighting a cigar as I left. I went into the garage where I started to work on my bike.

I crouched down so I was looking eye to eye with Crystal. "Now, you know what you been doing to your daddy ain't right? He's doin the best he can." I said, completely serious as I looked at Chris. "Now, don't be thinkin' I'm only sayin that cause I'm your dad's friend. I'm sayin it cause I mean it."

"Him leaving me alone here isn't right either," I pointed out, doing my best to keep any vemom from my voice. I knew that he was trying his best, but it still didn't help the hurt that came from him leaving. "Look, all I want is for him to treat me more like an adult and maybe be home with me more," I said.

"Honey, he left me alone too, and I already slapped him for you. And don't tell him I told you this, but he wants you to start comin' with him." Rogue rose up to her full height and pulled the hood of her trenchcoat and offered her hand to Crystal. "Let's go talk to your dad."

I hesitantly took Rogue's hand. "Alright," I said. I got up and we went to find my father. It wasn't hard. All I had to do was follow the residual smell of smoke. God, I hated it when he smoked. We found him in the garage, working on his bike. I slowly walked in. "Daddy?" I called.

I was working on my bike when I heard my daughter come into the garage. I looked up to see her and Rogue. "Sup, kid?" I asked, coming out from underneith the bike and putting out my cigar, like I knew I would be asked too. "Somethin' wrong?" It was a natural responce from me. It showed just how overprotective I was with my daughter. But in my defence, she was the only family I had left that I knew of. I was pretty sure that every other relative of mine was eating dirt.

"Chris wants to talk to ya. Or Ah told her you wanted to. Ah can't remember." Rogue said, trying to cover up her nervousness by laughing. She really didn't wanna get involved in Logan's family issues, no matter if he was practically her second dad.
Rogue tugged the trenchcoat around her shoulders. For some reason it was always colder in the garage.

I leaned slightly against my bike, making sure that I didn't tip it. "I'm pretty sure it was her idea," I said, putting my cigar in my pocket. "What's goin' on, Chris?" I asked. It was unusual for Chris to come to me with another person, wanting to talk. Usually she found me and we talked alone. Not once has she asked for someone else's interference.
Was she trying to tell me something? Was I missing some important sign? I knew that things weren't exactly the same between us, but the girl had to grow up. She couldn't keep leaning on me. She needed to learn how to walk on her own. I may be around for a while, but I couldn't keep babying her, no matter how much I wanted to.

I looked hesitantly at my father. We have never talked about this. Ever. I didn't even think he knew about how badly his leaving affected me or he wouldn't leave. This was new territory for me. Going to Canada was his thing. He was going to find out about a past he can't remember. The only clues he had were dreams of half memories. Little glimpses into his past that he's been trying to piece together. He didn't even know how he lost his memories. I was walking on very thin ice with this subject.
I wasn't asking him to just give up on his past and stay permanently with me, I was asking him to at least give me a bit of warning, even if that meant waking me up when he has these dreams. I was sick of waking up to find that he hadn't even thought to tell me he was leaving. I don't think he knew how important he was to me. He truly was my best friend.
I sucked in a breath and looked him in the eye. "I wanted to talk to you about leaving me with out so much as a note to let me know you left," I said. I remembered that Rouge said he was thinking about taking me along, but that didn't mean he was gonna. It all depended on if he thought it was safe and how personal the memories were.

I didn't know what to say. Well, I kind've knew, but I didn't know how to say it. When I found the words, I was about to say them, but all that came out was a weird squeak.
Taking a breath, I undid the top of my trenchcoat, just letting it hang open, revealing the black tanktop and tight, black jeans. Before she'd come to the mansion, Rogue hadn't really showed off her figure, but now she embraced that she had the ultimate "Touch me and you'll DIE" policy. She said "Logan, maybe ya should start tellin' her what you fiand out on these trips if ya feel that she shouldn't go."

What I found? I was finding things that I didn't want her to know about. Things like me being an assassin, me possibly having other love interest, me possibly having offered myself up for the project that erased my memories. There were so many things I didn't want her to know. "It's... personal," I said, knowing that that wasn't a very good answerer. "There are things I don't want ya ta know."
I sighed. "I'll take ya along, alright. You're old enough and that stunt you pulled made me realize ya've been couped up here all yer life 'n' that ain't fair to ya," I said. This meant she was either gonna have to get a bike, or she was gonna have to ride on the back of mine.
